Breath on Embers - Anne Calhoun Sad sad story, over- analyzed scenarios and moments
The story was moderately good, the characters moderately interesting, the level of sadness.....absolute, portrayal of the environment, way too much and finally the erotic moments.....boring. I have no idea why Ronan liked Thea.....the insta-sex meeting was hardly touching and a little repulsive actually. Somewhere in the book Ronan says it was ok to use women to overcome grief the way he was being used by Thea, this turned me off from him too. This story could do with a little less analysis and descriptive irrelevant details for a short story and a little more dialogue between the characters that showed their personalities better.
