The second half of the book was excellent!
I liked this book, the characters were well fleshed out, although I think we could have learned a little more about Remington, but then that would have given the plot twist away early. The first half of the book, I skimmed until Brooke and Remington started opening up to one another and even then it was slow and quite over-wrought. Once things really started happening the book moved very quickly and became for me a 4-star read. There were some heart-wrenching moments such as when neither one was sure what Remington would remember and it was truly sad to read and imagine such a difficult life but the author brought us through that quite skillfully. The initial description of Brooke's feelings of attraction and unquenched desire were too repetitive and I think that could have been written in a more polished way, but the rest of the book was excellent and I will like to read more books from this author in the future.
